Great Smoky Mountains

The Great Smoky Mountains are a mountain range rising along the Tennessee–North Carolina border in the southeastern United States. They are a subrange of the Appalachian Mountains, and form part of the Blue Ridge Physiographic Province.

The towns of Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Sevierville all offer unique Smoky Mountain attractions that will quickly become family favorites. The main parkway is lined with more than 75 family fun Smoky Mountain attractions including Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies, Wonderworks, Dixie Stampede, Zorb, miniature golf courses, NASCAR SpeedPark, go-cart race tracks, a jungle boat ride, movie theaters, indoor skydiving, plus museums, souvenir shops and places to eat. Family entertainment theaters showcase acrobats, comedians, cowboys, musical entertainment and magic.

Lots of fun attractions and family entertainment for all ages make Sevier County one of the best holiday destinations  in America for weekend getaways, family holidays and group outings.

Of course there is one place that we have not mentioned – perhaps because we are saving the best for last…it is of course Dollywood!  Dollywood is more than just a world class theme park. It’s the complete getaway for families looking to disconnect from the world’s distractions and reconnect with each other while nestled in the beautiful Great Smoky Mountains. Ask anyone who has visited Dollywood before, and they’ll tell you this place is different. It’s not a difference that you can touch or see. It’s a difference you can feel!
