Escorted Tours of the USA

Travelling Time is a travel company based in Perth, Scotland. For nearly 30 years we have been creating friendly, music-themed escorted tours of the USA, from Nashville, Memphis and New Orleans to Texas, New England and the Rockies.

On an escorted tour, the planning is done for you. You have a Tour Manager and a driver with you, a hotel booked for every night, and the sights and shows already arranged. All you need to do is turn up and enjoy it.

If you have never joined a group trip before, we know it can feel a little daunting. That is why we keep our groups friendly and our days relaxed, and why we say: "Arrive as a guest, leave as a friend."

Why travel on an escorted tour?

• Nothing to organise. Hotels, coach travel, attractions and the meals listed on each tour page are arranged for you, so you are not driving, navigating or booking tickets.
• Someone to look after you. Your Tour Manager and driver are with you throughout, and there is a welcome meeting, subject to everyone's arrival times, so you can meet your fellow travellers.
• Music in the right places. Our tours take you to places such as Sun Studio, Graceland, FAME Studios and the Grand Ole Opry, and into live music in the evenings.
• Time for yourself. Every tour has free time built in, so you can explore, relax or just have a cold drink on Broadway.

An honest word: an escorted tour is not for everyone. You follow a shared itinerary, so you cannot change the plan on the day, and you will be travelling with people you have not met before. Itineraries can vary because of scheduling. All the attractions listed are included, but the days may change around. If that suits you, it is a very easy way to see a lot of America.

What our escorted tours include

Our prices are tour-only prices, per person. Each one covers:

• All accommodation
• All ground transportation
• The attractions listed in the itinerary
• Daily breakfast, plus the group meals listed on each tour page
• All compulsory taxes, fees and charges

Flights are not included. We can book your flights as an extra, or you are welcome to arrange your own. Please check each tour page for the full details, as meals and attractions differ from tour to tour.

Who our tours suit

• Music lovers who want to see where the music was made, from honky-tonks to famous recording studios.
• Solo travellers. You are very welcome to travel on your own. A single supplement applies, and it is shown for every tour.
• Couples and friends who would like to share the experience without sharing the planning.
• First-time group travellers. Our days are relaxed, never rushed, and we are always on hand to help.
• Private groups, such as clubs and families. Ask us about a private group tour.

Group size

Our escorted tours typically have 20 to 30 guests, and can run with as few as 8. The maximum is 50. Private groups can be any size.

Financial protection

Travelling Time is a Member of Protected Trust Services (6332) and as such all your travel arrangements are 100% financially protected. All of our air holidays and flights are protected by the Civil Aviation Authority (ATOL 7516).
